Snakeskin

This essence was made from the shed skin of a Brownsnake that was found in a field of Pink Flannel Flower on Hargraves Lookout in the Blue Mountains (spring 2004). The blue you can see in the photograph are pieces of Lapis that were used in the making of this essence. This is an essence made for the Oil of Lapis Light Mandala, and all the essences made for this mandala were made in the presence of Lapis Lazuli where possible. The skin was newly shed and without any breaks, it was complete including the skin from the eyes.

As an essence it brings an acceptance of change. It relieves states of distress during periods of change. Particularly where ones role or identity (self view) is changing or needs to change. A relaxation can occur where there has been a clinging to habitual view of reality.

This essence communicates an acceptance of self which goes beyond our perception of self.

We all have experiences of change where we hang on to old attachments, inhibiting real change. This essence assists by communicating an acknowledgement of our truth, allowing a gentle letting go of self perceptions that are inhibiting the full spectrum of possibility.
